Sportsman’s Connection
I had the privilege of joining Sportsman’s Connection in May of 2022. They are a renowned company that has been around for over 30 years and has specialized in lake atlases and merchandise, particularly distinguished by their exquisite wood-engraved lake maps. Initially serving as an intern until I graduated from college in December of the same year, I swiftly transitioned into a leadership role thereafter.
As a key member of the design team, I assumed the responsibility of managing the development of our signature wood maps. Utilizing Adobe Illustrator, I directed the layout process, ensuring adherence to brand standards, accuracy of information, and timely execution. My role also encompassed providing constructive feedback to team members to uphold consistency and quality.
The design team
In September of 2023, I spearheaded the conceptualization and design of a wood-engraved golf map, presenting it as a potential new product line to company leadership. Through collaborative refinement, we finalized the map's structure and subsequently launched it on our website. This strategic addition not only diversified our product offerings but also catalyzed organizational growth, leading to the expansion of our facilities and an increase in production staff.
